Marko Mušič is a Slovenian architect. He has designed buildings in cities such as Zagreb, Skopje and Ljubljana. Since May 2008 he has been a vice-president of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU).

He studied and graduated in 1966 in Ljubljana by Edvard Ravnikar studio. He continued his studies in Denmark (Ejnar Dyggve) and the U.S. Louis I Kahn. He lives and works in Ljubljana.

His architectural opus is divided into three periods. The first represents a breakthrough of his architectural enforcement at the time of the study and immediately after graduating with a number of contests and prizes throughout the former Yugoslavia. His second period represent the realization of architectural projects, resulting mostly in competitions for the needs of the culture. Works were designed in various regions of the former Yugoslavia. The period from the beginning of the eighties in Mušič work means a synthesis between the planning utopia and creative exceedances. Mušič work is an obvious generational break in Slovenian modernism.
