The inhabitants of the Kirov district played an important role in the revolution and took benefit afterwards, which was also visible in several residential buildings created specially for them. The architecture had a high quality and was built in the style of modernism. The Traktornaia Street Residential Development is the earliest example of this kind of housing projects with striking cubist elements, segmental arches and the use of travertine for some details.
